Chewy Chocolate Cookies
I had forgotten about this recipe. I recently came across it and had to make a batch after seeing (and buying) a bag of Heath Bits O’ Brickle English Toffee Bits at the grocery store. They were a wonderful addition.
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
Cream butter and sugar in a large bowl. Add eggs and vanilla; blend well. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt; blend into creamed mixture. Drop by teaspoon falls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 8 to 9 minutes. Cool on cookie sheet until set, about one minute. Remove to wire rack to cool completely.
