Utterly Decadent Southern Pecan Pie

This month's Southern Living had a recipe for a "southern" pecan pie that didn't have Karo syrup in it! I made it anyway, and it was very tasty. More like a praline in a crust than what I typically think of as a southern Karo pecan pie.
