Gadget insanity

I recently got my first iPhone. I am having so much fun with apps. I love the Epicurious app. I looked through the recipes earlier this morning, and tonight we are having Arugula and Roasted Pear Salad and Chicken Breasts with Tomato-Herb Pan Sauce. The app includes a shopping list feature, so my grocery list is prepared for me. I just purchased the Mark Bittman How to Cook Everything app and can't wait to try it out.

I also downloaded a camera app to spiff up the camera on my phone.

We ate at Parlor Market in Jackson, Mississippi, Saturday. Here is a picture of it that I edited with my new app.

We went there because the lunch menu looked so good. When we got there we were disappointed that the lunch menu was not offered on Saturday. Instead, they had a brunch menu. It turned out to be pretty tasty though.

This is the wild boar, spinach and shiitake mushroom quiche.

Here is their version of Key Lime Pie. I forgot to take a picture of the wonderful pork chop that I had in between.

That night we ate at my favorite: Walker's Drive-In. Forgot to take pictures of my food there though. Maybe next time.....
